Pork chilli sambal pasta with fresh red onion and chinese broccoli

Love it! Bit of an Aussie Asian fusion

500g pork mince or beef

1 small brown onion sliced

5 cloves garlic minced

2 bunches Chinese broccoli cut into bite size pieces ( this is hard to find but you can replace with a bunch of broccolini cut into bite size pieces )

Toasted sesame seeds to garnish

1 small red onion sliced to garnish

250g cooked spaghetti pasta

Sauce

2-4 tablespoons sambal oelek ( adjust this according to your taste )

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons fish sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Freshly cracked pepper to taste

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl

Heat up a large fry pan add some oil, add the pork mince and brown well. Add the garlic, onion and chinese broccoli stir fry for 5 minutes. Add the cooked pasta and sauce, stir for a few minutes. Turn heat off serve amongst bowls and garnish with fresh red onion and toasted sesame seeds.

The heat of the food cooks the onion a little but I really love the raw onion element in this dish .

This also reheats well the next day

This makes 2-4 serves depending on your preferred portion size
