Beef Chow Mein with Pasta

Beef Chow Mein but with pasta instead of noodles

my kids like it!

​

350g roughly beef rump steak sliced thinly ( feel free to replace this with 500g beef mince )

1 carrot cut into thin slices

1 cup shredded cabbage

5 cloves garlic minced

250g spaghetti pasta ( cook pasta to your liking then drain and rinse with cold water and set aside )

 

Sauce

 

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

5 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 large teaspoon Cornflour

Pinch of salt or msg

 

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.

 

Heat up a large fry pan to a high heat, add some oil.

Brown the beef, remove from pan and set aside.

In the same pan add a little more oil if needed, add the carrot and Saute for a few minutes.

Now, add in the garlic and cabbage and Saute for a few minutes.

Add in the cooked pasta stir for a couple minutes.

Add the beef back in plus the sauce and stir well.

Eat immediately! Enjoy
